1. What Personal Information We Collect

a. Personal Information. Personal information is information that identifies an individual or is directly associated with a specific person or entity such as a name, address, telephone number, email address, credit card number, or information about activities which can be directly linked to that person, such as his or her make or model of a vehicle.

b. Children. We encourage parents to take an active interest in their children's use of the Internet. We do not intend to collect information from children who are under 18 years of age. If you are under 18, you should not provide information on Social5 sites and should ask your parent to do so for you. If we learn from a source we deem credible that we have unknowingly collected any personal information from a child, we will promptly delete that information.

c. For all Site Visitors. When a visitor accesses our Site, we collect the visitor's zip code, IP address, and browser information. An IP address is a unique locator for a visitor's computer that is used to find the visitor's computer on a network. A website uses the IP address to send information to the visitor's computer. The visitor's computer or Internet service provider may assign a different IP address to the computer for different Internet sessions. Browser information includes the type and version of the Internet browser that is being used, such as Internet Explorer version 6.0. If one of our online marketing initiatives leads a visitor to our Site, we also identify the website or location from which that visitor came. We also collect information regarding the visitor's traffic patterns and Site usage, such as the time spent on a page, or the links or advertisements on which the visitor has clicked.

d. If you Fill Out a Form or a Questionnaire. If you fill out a form or questionnaire posted on our Site, we collect the personal information that you provide in response to the questions. We may combine it with information, if any, that we may have in our database and that may be associated with your name or email address. The questions we ask are necessary for us to understand your needs, so that we can respond accordingly.

Example: You fill out a form in order to request a quote for one of our products; register for a newsletter; send us an email with your comments; enter a sweepstakes or contest; or participate in an online survey.

e. If you sign up for a Social5 account. . Registering with our Site triggers the creation of a cookie, which allows us to recognize that a visitor is one of our members. If you register with our Site, the information we collect about your traffic patterns or Site usage through our cookies and action tags is linked to you through this cookie. After you have registered, the information we collect about your traffic patterns or Site usage may be linked to you, and any other information we may have about you in our databases. You can prevent this use of your website session information.

f. If you Login. Social5 users who have registered with our Site may have access to products or services and other benefits that are available only in restricted areas of our Site from our affiliates or third-parties. On these pages, our members can also perform certain activities, such as changing passwords or preferences. To access these restricted areas, the registered Social5 member must use a login ID and a password. If you attempt to login on our Site and you have previously deleted our registration cookie, you will have to type in your login ID, and a new cookie will be created. The information we collect about your traffic patterns or Site usage may be linked to you through that cookie so that we may present products and services that may interest you. You can prevent the use of your website session information for such personalized advertising.

g. Emails. For service emails that we exchange with you, we collect only the personal information needed to handle your request, and retain it only for statistical purposes. We track the open and click through rate of our promotional emails for statistical purposes and to identify those emails that a specific recipient has opened. If you respond to one of our promotional emails, we record the information you provide with other data that we have and that is associated with that same email address.

Example: We collect the personal information you provide when you contact our Help Desk, or email a question about your account, so that we can follow-up and respond. We keep track of the email exchange for reporting purposes, so that we know how many inquiries of a certain type were received and handled.

h. Deletion. Social5 users may request deletion of the personal information we have collected by contacting support@social5.com.

2. Use of Personal Information

a. The personal information we collect is generally used to process your requests or transactions, provide you with high-quality service, tell you about opportunities we think will be of interest, and understand your needs so that we can serve you better. For example, we may use your telephone number, your email or your postal address to: (1) alert you about product recalls or safety issues; or (2) communicate membership opportunities and programs. We also may use personal information we collect to provide you with promotional information, which is information we believe will add value to your membership, such as coupon savings booklets, promotions, or information about your membership.

3. What Personal Information We Disclose to Third Parties.

We will not disclose personal information to other companies outside of our family of companies for their marketing purposes without your consent. We will not disclose any personal information about our visitors, customers and former customers except as set forth below or as permitted or required by law. Persons or organizations to which we may disclose personal information include:

a. Affiliated Third Parties. We may share personal information within our family of companies in order to market products and services to our customers.

b. Service Providers. We may provide personal information to our service providers so that they can perform business, professional or insurance functions for us. Our service providers are contractually bound to protect the personal information of our visitors, members, and customers with measures substantially similar to those outlined in this Privacy Notice and to use this personal information only for agreed upon purposes.

Example: We share some personal information with our service providers that combine it with other information that they have obtained from other sources, in order to manage and personalize advertisements to our visitors, and for market research.

iii. To detect or prevent criminal activity, fraud, material misrepresentation, or material nondisclosure; to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of our organization or others; or in connection with the enforcement of our Terms & Conditions and other agreements.

4. How We Protect Your Personal Information.

We use physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your personal information. We review the information security practices of companies with whom we share personal information. We require our employees to keep personal information confidential. Access to such information is provided only to those employees who need personal information to perform their duties.

5. Other Privacy Policies

a. Linking to Other Sites. Several pages of our Site may include links to third parties' websites, such as in the case of products or services. While these websites may have a similar look and feel as our Site, they are separate websites operated by separate entities. You may also be transported to a third party's website if you click on an advertisement that is displayed on our Site. When you choose to access these third party websites, a separate window may launch, and you will leave our Site.

b. Terms and Conditions of Third Party Sites. Any personal information you provide on the linked pages is provided directly to that third party and is subject to that third party's privacy policy. Except as described above, we are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of websites to which we link. Links from our site to third parties or to other sites are provided for your convenience. We encourage you to learn about their privacy and security practices and policies before providing them with personal information.

6. Changes to the Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to change this privacy statement at any time, but will alert you that changes have been made by indicating at the top of the privacy statement the date it was last updated. We encourage you to review our privacy statement to make sure you understand how information you provide will be used. If there is ever a material change to how we use information you provide and the new uses are unrelated to uses we disclose in this statement, we will communicate the changes in advance.

7. Making Comments on Social5 websites

a. Join our Discussion. Social5 welcomes user comments on our information utilized at social5.com and other Social5 websites, Mobile Sites, and Business Hubs, including the stories, videos, media productions and posts.

b. We Publish Your Real Name. Social5 intends for the area (blog) of this Site to be used by our readers as a place for civil, thought-provoking and high-quality public discussion. In order to achieve this, Social5 requires that all commenters and posters register and post comments with their real first name and first initial of their last names. Place of residence is collected and also utilized with your name and posted comments.

c. Keep it Thoughtful. Social5 does not permit the use of foul language, personal attacks, snideness, or gratuitous insult of the intelligence or character of fellow commenters and others, or the use of language that may be libelous or interpreted as inciting hate or sexual harassment. User comments are reviewed by moderators to ensure that comments meet these standards and adhere to Social5 Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Failure to adhere to these standards and these Terms and the Privacy Policy may result in restrictions to the comment board or other and all areas of Social5 websites.
